Back from my Hiatis

Wow, it has been so long since I blogged anything. So much to do with the holidays and since then too. I tried to write something after I got back from Christmas in Oklahoma, but suprisingly didn't have the time then either.



So in a nutshell, we went home to visit my family in Oklahoma for Christmas. Returned for a month and then went on Vacation with our friends in California and Mexico. Whew...so much to tell. I will post pictures later of Christmas and write a little more about it then.



We got back Tuesday nite around 10pm at the Airport and Mike and I both had to go to work on Wednesday. boo hoo. I much rather prefer the laid back life of the rich who make it their job to vacation constantly. But I am a responsible adult who has responsibilities right? So here I am back in cold Alaska typing away at my desk. (its my lunch by the way)



We ended up leaving Alaska a day earlier, because I am a nut and was convinced the volcano was going to blow the day before we left. So I changed our flight on Weds to leave Weds nite instead of Thurs. I still had to finish packing, get my nails done, finish my items for a scrapbook swap that I was in and make arrangement to get to the airport one day earlier. Luckily, I had been mananging to pack most of our stuff the week before I left. I normally wait until the day before or night before to do it. So that made it a little better, but still crazy getting it done.



So we get to Sunny San Diego, which I absolutely LOVE! There was so much to do. We stayed at a hotel downtown overlooking the bay. Looking out our balcony, we could see our cruise ship the Carnival Spirit when it came in the next morning. Right in front of us. Also there was the US Midway Aircraft Carrier right there as well.

We visited the Seaport Village, the Lamp District, Balboa Park & Museaums, rode the Carousel, & Visited the San Diego Zoo. We had a lot of fun before we even got on the boat. I hope that we will go back and visit one day.

I will write more about Mexico, a little later. I started this post back a month ago and still haven't finished it. Hopefully, I will be able to post some photos of our trip as well.
