Father's Day Fishing Card- Stairstep

Can you tell that I have been busy lately. Lots of Cards to make. Just when I think my list is going down, I have a couple more to add. Seems like the only time I send cards is when I make one for someone specifically. If not, I get busy and forget. I have made two of this identical card the last two days. One was an anniversary card and this one is a Father's Day Card for his first Father's Day. My niece was born on June 2nd, so he squeaked by this year.
This card is using the stairstep fold. You can tell more by the picture below. I like trying new card templates. It is so much fun.

A side version of the Card. It make it look 3-D. I have one more of this kind to make with a different stamp set.

A Hockey Birthday

I have been waiting all week to post this card. This was for my husband Mike's birthday which was yesterday. I had to wait, because he follows my blog. He is all about Hockey. So it started with a Hockey card, Sports Pendant Cake, a Scrapbook of him playing hockey from when he was 5 until now and ending with Season Tickets to see next years UAA Seawolves. He was a happy man last night. All things hockey! We went out to eat Pizza at the Moosestooth (My Favorite Pizza Place) and then came back to our house for Cake, Ice Cream and Presents. His mom, brother and niece joined us.
I have had several cards to make this lately, and I used the Mojo Monday challenge #91 for this one. I changed it up a bit and made it a sideways card. But it was fun, this was my first tall card to make that fit into a regular #10 envelope. I am going to try to link this card to Mojo Monday site as well for the first time. Hope it isn't too difficult to figure out. This is the type of stuff that gets me thrown for a loop. That is why I have not linked anything or posted anything before. So wish me luck!

Moving on to Training wheels

Sydney riding with the neighbor girl. She graduated from the tricyle to a small purple bike that we got training wheels for. Was able to buy it from Craigslist for only $10. This time it had a pedal though.

I am so spoiled. I get flowers everyday from my kiddo. Good thing too. We have plenty of these little yellow flowers growing in the yard.

Sydney's Tri-cyle

My Big Girl with her My Little Pony Helmet.

This is the first bicycle that we bought Sydney. It is a good little bike, that I bought at a garage sale for only $5. Sounds too good to be true, like new except there is only a bar where one of the pedals should go. I just knew it would be an easy fix. I would just get a new petal and we would be good to go. Wrong, not even the specialty shops carried the type of petal that I needed. She still can do pretty good on it. Just can't build up much speed.
She likes to go out on the street and ride when the neighbor kids ride.

My Canvas Art - So much Fun!

Here is Sydney posing with her canvas. Please note the tiny My Little Ponies in the picture. She had to make sure they were in the picture too. And then our cat Sam decided to jump in as well.

I have been dying to try Canvas Wall Art. I finally got my chance. This is the one I made for my mom for Mother’s Day. It is a picture of my daughter at a Rodeo that she went to with my parents when she was visiting them without me one. Come to find out, my mom said this was one of her favorite photos of Sydney. I had so much fun making it. I painted the canvas, distressed it with ink, used dimensional stars that I embossed with gold, copper and black, added a Uppercase living saying, along with some rub-ons, dewdrops, flowers and buttons. I loved it so much I almost didn’t send it to my mom. I brought it to work and showed the girls and displayed it. Took me forever to find a box to put it in.

Some Cards I made this Week.

This card is for my friend Christina with whom I work with.
According to her, Pink is the new Black. So here it is, with it's old self. :)
She loves shoes, when she goes anywhere that is what she wants to bring home with her.
New shoes.

I originally made this card for my husband, but I think it is more suited for my Dad.
So in the mail it goes. Mom if you see this, don't show dad.
I love playing with the mini brads and the dimensional elements.
