Wow, Its been almost a year

I was just thinking it has been almost a year since I first started blogging. I started on April 30, 2008. So this thursday is my first anniversary for blogging. I see people who give out prizes or blog candy for people who leave comments or link their blog to someone elses blog. Too bad I don't know much about this bloggin world. I put a counter up about 6 months ago too see how many people came to see my blog. Right now it reads 8. That mean about 6 other people have actually signed on to see my blog. Two of those times were me, trying to check how many people checked it out. So I don't think it will do anygood to offer blogcandy. No one will ever see it. I joined Facebook the other day to see if there were many people that I knew on there. Cindy & Kim are the two that I know best. I still haven't figured that out. When I started blogging, I was trying to catch up. Funny thing is I am still blogging and don't have a clue what I am doing, but since then Face book has went wild, now people are onto twittering. Oh well, So much for trying to keep up. I mean after all my camera, phone, 8 pound camcorder & VCR are all outdated now and I still don't know how to work all of them either.

So if you are one of the poor saps that I signed up to automatically get an email when I add posts, please pass the link of my blog onto some other poor sap that might be interested in the slightly interesting adventures of my life. I would really like to see my counter bypass the number 10 before my one year anniversary in two days. Ok, if you leave a comment on my blog, I will send you a Card. There, don't say I did leave you incentive to visit my blog.

Easter 2009

Sydney & her cousins
Sydney, Hannah,Jordan, Brandon, Isabella & Nikki
Sydney hunting for eggs with her friends at the Easter Egg hunt we had at our house.

Here Sydney is showing off her favorite Eggs

Sydney & Hannah right before we took off to church.
We ask her what she learned about and she says
I learned about a guy named Jesus
who rode a donkey.

Here is the Lewis Family on Easter Sunday.
I love this dress Syney is wearing. So does she.
She says it is her special dress and loves to twirl in it.

Fur Rondy Hockey

This weekend wrapped up the Hockey Season until Fall. They ended with a Labatt's Tournament. Didn't win, but I think they had fun. Here are some pics of most of the guys in another tournament that happened this past February. The Fur Rondy Tournament that is played outside.

Oh how I ache

Its about 7 sunday night and the weekend is coming to an end. I hate that, because I have so much more I would like to have gotten done. Summer is right around the bend. You can tell by how brown and dirty everything is here in Anchorage. Most of the snow is melted and the street sweepers are starting to sweep away the dirt and gravel which have piled up over the winter. This is the most bleak time of the year. Everything is wet and cold and dirty.

Another way you can tell that summer is about here, is the charity/fund raising walks that happen on the weekends. The one that is normally know for starting off the season is the heart run. I walked with some people from work and my friend Kerri. Mainly Kerri and her kids. We pushed a double stroller with Sydney & Josie in it and Kerri, Peter and myself walked. It is 5K or approximately 3.1 miles. Which doesn't seem like much, but by the time you find parking and then walk to the back of the starting line (of 6800 people) I am positive it is more of a 4 mile plus. Anyway, walked it in Honor of my Dad- Howard. Who is a Survior of an Heart Attack. At about 2 1/2 miles we let the girls out, so they could walk (run) over the finish line. They both proceeded to fun the last 1/2 mile. Which means so did I. Today I am cranky, stiff & sore, obviously lots of muscles have not been used this winter. I even tried walking as much as I could last week, in a feeble attempt to prepare for the walk. So I am thinking I should do more of these, so maybe I will force myself to exercise. Maybe eventually I will work up to 3 miles everytime I go for a walk. I am also going to be getting my bike out and ready. A couple of trial runs to see actually how pathetic I am and then I may even hook up the bike trailer to give Sydney a ride.

Speaking of bikes, Mike and I need to get her a bike with training wheels. She has a tricycle, but it is missing one petal. so needless to say- she doesn't get far. Some days after work, we walk around our loop- probably about 4 or more blocks and she kicks the soccerball. She likes it and isn't bad at it. Hopefully this will lead to some sort of coordination. She is too young to play soccer this year. Seems like the only thing she is old enough for is Gymnastics or Dance. She likes to be a ballerina, but I haven't had time to figure out the best place for her to go. Maybe in my spare time. yeah right.

Hockey has came to an end for this session. It will resume after the summer comes to an end. Hopefully we will be able to work in our yard, go camping and fishing and just get out and enjoy the outdoors. God willing- it will be a better summer. Last year stunk. Very little to no Sunshine all summer. People were going nutty, with no sunshine. But I have faith that this year will be a great one as for the sunshine. I am trying to make plans to go berry picking, fishing, halibut fishing and camping. Anything to stay busy. Plus I want to get a few things to try to can. Oh we will see. I am notorious for biting off more than I can chew. I know hard to believe. Like right now and am typing on this blog, trying to sych my ipod, clean my scrapbook room, write some long over due cards to old friends and would love to actually scrapbook something. But now my tummy is rummbling and I just remembered I forgot to eat lunch. Not that most people have already eatten dinner, maybe I will too. I swear I am "ADD" or what ever it is called. Ok, I am off to try to finish something.......anything......and maybe take a hot bath...goodnight
